Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Marine and Army Veteran Bruce Legan. Serving one’s country is one of the biggest selfless sacafices one can make. The Super Bowl is one of biggest sporting events on the planet. This time of year, the two come together in the best way for Veterans across the country. Bruce enlisted in the United State Marine Corps in 1975. He was stationed in Camp Lejeune until the Vietnam War ended. Legan was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal. In 1987, Bruce reenlisted in the U.S. Army working as a track vehicle repairman and vehicle dispatcher based in Kansas. He eventually became a heavy equipment operator in Louisiana. On Wednesday he got the surprise of his life when Justin Jefferson of the the Minnesota Vikings, with the help of the USAA and Jewish War Veterans awarded Bruce with tickets to Super Bowl LVII. Enjoy the game Bruce and THANK YOU for your service.
