Wichita begins its annual Riverfest celebration on Friday with a ten-day schedule of concerts, food, events and activities.

The Quantum Credit Union Food Court opens at 11 a.m. near Century II, and it will be open each day of the festival.  The Safelite Autoglass Sundown Parade begins at 6:30 Friday evening, and it begins at 2nd and Main, going south on Main to English, turning east to Market, then north on Market.

The Fidelity Bank River Run and the Admiral’s Pancake Feed will begin the day’s events Saturday.  Cowboy Bathtub Races will be held at 2 p.m. on the Arkansas River at Douglas.

Sunday’s schedule includes the Cardboard Regatta at 1:30 p.m. and the Downtown Get Down from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with activities on Douglas between Waco and Water.

Admission is a Festival button, which is $15 for adults, and $5 for children 5 through 12.  Children under 5 get in free.  Buttons are available at Quik Trip locations.   Admission on
Thursday, June 8th is with any button from a previous Riverfest.

Events are scheduled June 2nd through the 10th.
