Three suspects are in custody after a shooting incident Thursday in Arkansas City that left a man hospitalized.
Police said officers were called to the seven-hundred block of South A Street shortly before 3 p.m., arriving to find the 35-year-old victim with several gunshot wounds to his lower body. He was taken to a Wichita hospital.
Police said one of the suspects – 21-year-old Arkansas City man – was taken into custody after a vehicle chase that ended across the border in Oklahoma. Two other Arkansas City men, ages 31 and 20, were arrested near the scene of the shooting. An investigation is ongoing.
