We’ll the future is here -again! This time, Apple has finally joined the virtual reality game with what they believe will be a game changer. I will agree and this is without even trying them.
I have always said that until companies rethink the design of these goggles – to make it look like I’m NOT wearing a small kitchen appliance on my face, I’m not even interested. Apple has done this. Finally, we can call them VR goggles and have them look more like goggles rather than a small air fryer on your face.
Now, there has been on funny, unintended effect to Apples design, you can’t stop comparing them to the shades the great Dale Earnhardt use to wear – and now I can’t unsee it.
With all this buzz about these goggles – I won’t be wearing a pair anytime soon. Not because I don’t see this as the future with so many positive, real world applications – I won’t be using them because I can’t afford them. When the Vision Pro goggles are released early 2024 – they will set you back $3500. If that doesn’t bring you back from virtual reality to reality, nothing will. Oh, you can bet these things will fly off the shelves and all the wealthy types from celebs to influencers will be showing them off, leaving some of us with so much FOMO that we’re going to go further in debt for a pair.
And what about 2024 birthdays and Christmas – Mom and Dad, you know your kids will be asking Santa for these. Look, I’ve been a good boy, but I don’t think I’ve been that good.
Above all, one thing I think we can all agree on – whether it’s the Vison Pro or some other VR headset – we need to use them carefully
