GOP vice presidential candidate JD Vance will be the headliner on day three of the Republican National Convention.
The theme for Wednesday’s meeting is “Make America Strong Once Again.” Donald Trump will take the stage Thursday night when he officially accepts the GOP nomination for the 2024 presidential race.
Tuesday’s theme was “Make America Safe Once Again” and it brought out the former president and his running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, who didn’t formally address the gathering but did receive a warm round of applause as they entered the venue.
Once bitter rivals, two GOP heavyweights came out in support of Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention. Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley took the speaker’s stage Tuesday night and immediately endorsed Trump. Up until just a few months ago, she was criticizing Trump even after she dropped out of the race. Florida Governor DeSantis questioned whether Trump could beat President Biden during the primary, but he told the RNC crowd that Trump stands up for America, and must win in 2024.
