There is an oasis coming to the food desert in downtown Wichita. Thanks to the non-profit Movement Musick and the Kansas City-based family behind Price Chopper grocery stores, a new 30,000-square-foot grocery store was announced yesterday for the space between 1st and 2nd Street and Topeka and Emporia.

Chili’s is bringing the smoke by dragging fast-food restaurants for their high prices, and they are getting all the love in the form of millions of clicks and views. An X user posted a photo of a Burger King meal with a price tag over $18, asking why not just go to a restaurant. Chili’s jumped in the fight, saying, “This is what we’ve been saying!!!! Why do y’all let fast food play you like this? Big Crispy Chicken Sandwich 3 for Me with fries, BOTTOMLESS chips and salsa and UNLIMITED drink for $10.99, only at Chili’s.” Your move, fast food.

And as Morgan Wallen is to country music awards, Taylor Sheridan is to the Emmys. The Emmy nominations are out, and The Pitt leads all with 25 nominations. Followed closely by the comedy, “Hacks.” Name a Taylor Sheridan show, and chances are it got snubbed, minus ‘Tulsa King,’ which got a nod for stunt coordination. One Taylor that did get 5 nominations was the newly married Taylor Swift for her Disney+ concert film special.
