|This class is held ENTIRELY outdoors regardless of weather conditions. PLEASE DRESS AND PREPARE FOR ALL ANTICIPATED WEATHER CONDITIONS! PLEASE bring your own chair. NO seating is provided or available. Please bring your own food & drinks or money for lunch. We work hard to encourage Food Vendors to attend but cannot always guarantee their attendance. NO PETS or FIREARMS ALLOWED. Students under age 16 are required to have an adult guardian with them the entire class. Students under age 11 on the date of the class are welcome to attend but will NOT receive course certification or be issued a Hunter Education course completion card. COVID-19 has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization and is extremely contagious and believed to be spread mainly by person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people. The Lake Afton Hunter Education Clinic volunteers cannot guarantee that you or your children will not become infected with COVID-19 (or any other disease). Further, attending this event could increase your and your children’s risk of contracting COVID-19. A waiver of liability will be required from each person choosing to attend this event.|
|Class Notes: Kansas Hunter’s Education teaches new hunters to be ethical, safe, and knowledgeable.
The course consists of subjects covering hunter responsibility, ethics, fair chase, history of firearms, firearms basics, ammunition, basic gun safety, field safety, bowhunting, conservation and wildlife management, wildlife of Kansas, outdoor emergencies, Kansas hunting regulations and boating safety for hunters.
Where possible, students may live fire and/or go through simulated hunting conditions.

|Instructor Notes: This is a TWO DAY CLASS – Saturday AND Sunday, October 9 AND 10, 2021. Students MUST attend and complete the entire class BOTH days to be eligible to take the test at the end of the course on Sunday afternoon 10/10/2021.
Class sign-in begins Saturday by 7:00 a.m. and ends at 8:30 a.m. Students who arrive to sign in later than 8:15 a.m. may not be allowed into the class. Please DO NOT BE LATE or you will not be able to attend the classes.
