WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita Police say 15 people were arrested over the weekend during a sex trafficking sting.
The sting took place on Friday and Saturday in Wichita and involved multiple agencies. 11 people were arrested for purchasing sexual relations, 1 person was arrested for sale of sexual relations, and 1 person for promoting the sale of sexual relations.
Police say two others were arrested for unrelated charges. The sting involved investigators from Wichita Police Vice Unit, the Patrol South Broadway Corridor Team, the Patrol West Special Community Action Team, the Exploited and Missing Child Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General.
