Wichita, KS - Showers and thunderstorms are moving into Kansas from Oklahoma, and some storms could have wind and hail, but severe weather is not expected.
The strongest storms could bring winds up to 50 miles an hour with some pea to marble-sized hail, but our weather partners at KWCH, Storm Team 12 said severe storms are not expected in south central Kansas.
An area of showers and storms was moving through north central Oklahoma and into southern Kansas late Sunday afternoon. Radar was indicating light to moderate rain with some scattered areas of heavy rain. The Wichita area could see around an inch of rain by Monday evening.
Despite expected rain, the Wichita area will likely be dealing a high fire danger later in the week.
