Wichita - We need to address what drives the demand for human trafficking victims.
That's the word from Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt. He says our goal in the state is to foster a culture in which the buying and selling of human beings for another's sexual gratification is not acceptable.
Schmidt started the "Demand an End" Campaign along with law enforcement and the Wichita Crime Commission.
President of the Wichita Crime Commission, Todd Johnson, says curbing the buyers will curb the trade of sex. He stresses citizens can call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-3737-888.
