Arrests made after Crime Stoppers tip

WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita police got a Crime Stoppers tip Thursday afternoon, about concerning behavior by a man with a rifle. 

Officers found the home in question, near 9th and Grove, and spoke with someone leaving the home. That person confirmed two people police were looking for were in the home. The SWAT team was called out along with a canine team, after learning about firearms in the home and felony warrants. 

Six people in the home were detained without incident, and four of them were arrested. A 32-year-old man was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a warrant. One other man and two women were arrested for warrants. A rifle and handgun were found in the home. 

Police are thanking the person who shared information that led to these arrests.
