Shockers, Jayhawks Win Friday Night

Fans Await Selection Sunday

WICHITA, Kan. - SATURDAY MORNING UPDATE

The Shockers and the Jayhawks came out on top in Kansas basketball Friday.

The Shockers beat Tulane 89-81 Friday night in the AAC tournament quarterfinals. Wichita State plays the Houston Cougars Saturday at 2:30 p.m. You can catch that game on CBS.

The Jayhawks defeated the Wildcats 83-67 in the Big 12 in Kansas City Friday. Kansas will tip off against the West Virginia Mountaineers in the title game at 5 p.m. Saturday. That game will air on ESPN.

The teams playing in the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament will be revealed Sunday, March 11. Selection Sunday begins at 5 p.m. CDT (6 p.m. EDT) and will air on TBS.

This is a big weekend for the Shockers, the Jayhawks and the Wildcats.

The Wichita State University men's basketball team begins their first American Athletic Conference tournament Friday. The Shockers play Temple at 6 p.m., and that game will air on ESPNU.

K-State and KU will play each other Friday in the Big 12 tournament. That game also airs at 6 p.m., but on ESPN.

Selection Sunday is this weekend, where we'll find out which 68 teams will take part in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. The first pairings will also be announced. That will air at 6 p.m. Sunday on TBS.
