Body found in Rice County

STERLING, Kan. - The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist after a body was discovered in Rice County.

It happened Friday in a wooded area about 5 miles east of Sterling.  The Rice County Sheriff's Office and officers from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks responded after the discovery was made.

The body belongs to a white male, but no further details about the identity of the man or what happened to him have been released.
