Changes to Sunday's Frontiers in Flight

Air show adds app

WICHITA, Kan. - There are some changes to Sunday's Frontiers in Flight Air Show at McConnell Air Force Base.

The Textron Aviation Field will now be open for parking Sunday.

Visitors are encouraged to park at Textron as well at the shuttle locations at Spirit AeroSystems and Air Capital Flight Line. Parking on the base is still available to DoD ID Card Holders.

The Hometown Hero Flight was rescheduled to 9 a.m. Sunday. Wichita Police Officer, Alex Bieler, was chosen to fly with the Thunderbirds. Bieler used his hands to pat out a woman who caught fire at restaurant in May.

There is also an official Team McConnell app to guide you through the air show for free.  Use the search terms "22ARW" and "Frontiers in Flight" in your Apple or Google Play stores.
