Child assault suspect faces new charges

He is accused in a separate assault at a YMCA

The man accused of sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl at a Wichita YMCA location has now been charged with an assault on another child.

21-year-old Caleb Gaston was in court Monday afternoon to hear new charges against him.  The original case, with one count of rape,  was amended to add a count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.  He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on February 27th, and his bond has been set at $1 million.

Gaston was charged with an assault on a four-year-old girl in late January, and he was later released on a bond of $100,000, but he was arrested again the next day when a second assault was reported on a three-year-old girl.  Both assaults are alleged to have taken place at the downtown YMCA, where Gaston had been a part-time employee in the KidZone.
