WICHITA, Kan. - Today is World AIDS day.
Several local organizations are holding special programs today as well as free testing. The Sedgwick County Health Department is providing free testing until 4:30 p.m.
Positive Directions will also be providing free testing until 5 p.m. today at The Workroom, located at 105 N. Cleveland.
The KU School of Medicine-Wichita is hosting a special program at the Orpheum Theater starting a 6 p.m. Information booths with agencies who provide HIV support services will be there. There is all be a screening of the 2012 documentary "How to Survive the Plague" followed by a panel discussion with area experts.
Positive Directions will also provide free HIV testing during the event.
