Jim Ward withdraws from governor's race

He files for a new term in the Kansas House

State representative Jim Ward of Wichita has announced that he has suspended his Democratic campaign for governor.

Ward filed Wednesday for re-election to the District 86 seat in the Kansas House.  He issued a statement thanking his supporters and he said he looks forward to continuing to use his voice in Kansas politics to advocate for job growth, strong schools, quality health care, fair pay and non-discriminatory policies.
