WICHITA, Kan. - The date has been set for the auction of the old Joyland amusement park.
The 57-acre property will be split into a 42-acre package and a 15-acre package and auctioned November 7th.
The park opened in 1949 and closed in 2006. While most of the rides have already been moved or demolished, McCurdy Auction stated the property will offer a big redevelopment opportunity along Interstate 135, Southeast Blvd, and Hillside.
The auction will be held live on-site at noon on November 7, and interested bidders can also bid online.
