Ty Zentner kicked a field goal in overtime Saturday to give Kansas State a 31-28 win over previously undefeated TCU in the Big 12 college football championship game in Arlington, Texas.

The Wildcats were leading 28-13 in the fourth quarter of the game at AT&T Stadium, but the Horned Frogs came back to tie the game and send it into overtime.   The Wildcat defense stopped TCU running back Kendre Miller on fourth down at the one yard line in the first portion of overtime, then K-State ran a couple of plays to position for the game-winning field goal.

The 10th-ranked Wildcats finish 10-3 on the season and as Big 12 champion they will go to the Sugar Bowl.

Third-ranked TCU finishes 12-1 but they’re still expected to get into the college football playoffs.
