Kansas secretary of state Kris Kobach has issued a call for unity for Republicans in the fall campaign leading up to the November general election.
Kobach held a news conference late Tuesday as votes were still being counted in the GOP primary for governor. The latest count had Kobach with a lead of 345 votes over governor Jeff Colyer.
Colyer was planning a news conference Tuesday evening.
Kobach said he was expecting the vote canvass to be completed across all of the state's counties by Thursday. Sedgwick County completed its canvass Tuesday morning, and Kobach won the county with 45.7 percent of the vote, while Colyer received 37 percent.
