Lake Afton Observatory 2-Year Anniversary

Wichita - Lake Afton Observatory is celebrating it's two-year Anniversary of being re-opened, this weekend, and the public is invited to come out from 9:00 pm until 11:30 pm, tonight, with a special viewing on Sunday.

You'll be able to view Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars, at this time, as these planets will not be visible again for more than two years.

Mars and Saturn will be viewed through the 16-inch telescope, while Venus and Jupiter will be visible through outdoor telescopes.

You will also be able to see active star-forming regions of the Summer Milky Way that are in full view at this time.
