Lehman reappointed as election commissioner

She will serve a new four-year term

Wichita, KAN - Kansas secretary of state Kris Kobach has reappointed Tabitha Lehman to another four-year-term as the Sedgwick County election commissioner.

A swearing-in ceremony was held Friday at the courthouse in Wichita.

Lehman was first appointed in 2011 to fill an unexpired term, and she was appointed to a full term in 2013.

Kobach said in a press release that Lehman has been a leader in helping to secure elections.  Lehman worked with Johnson, Shawnee and Wyandotte counties in writing a joint bid request with Sedgwick County for new voting equipment.  The new system is paper-based and has added security features.
