Police ask for help identifying bank robber

It happened on June 4 in South Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita Police are asking for the public's help identifying the suspect who robbed the Valley State Bank in the 5300 block of South Broadway.

It happened around 11:20 a.m. on Monday, June 4.  The suspect entered the bank, pointed a gun at the tellers and demanded money.

They fled with an unknown amount of money in a 2000-2006 Ford Escape SUV.  The Escape was hunter green in color with grey trim around the bottom. It is also missing the Ford and Escape emblems from the back of the vehicle.

It was last seen westbound on 55th Street South from Hoover.  It had a Kansas tag of 145-JTR which was not registered to the vehicle.

The suspect is believed to be around 5'8" to 5'10" and was completely covered head to toe in dark clothing so an age and race are unknown.
