Police ask for help identifying bank robbery suspect

Wichita Police have released photos from the robbery of a Southwest National Bank.

It happened shortly before 12 p.m. Friday, December 21, near 31st Street South and Seneca.  A man entered the bank, pointed a gun and demanded money.

Employees cooperated with the suspect, who sprayed them with pepper spray before escaping.  He is described as a black male, around 5’9”  tall, with a medium to heavy build.

He was wearing a skull mask, black hoodie, gray sweat pants and black shoes.  He is driving a Ford Explorer with Kansas tag number 297KYP.

The license plate was reported stolen in a previous case.  Anyone who can help police identify the robber is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 316 267-2111 or call 911.
