Restored B-29 'Doc' flying to Ohio

The bomber is going on tour this summer

WICHITA, Kan. - The restored B-29 bomber "Doc" is flying out of Wichita Thursday. Doc is going on tour this summer, with a stop in Cleveland Ohio Thursday to offer cockpit tours along with the Liberty Aviation Museum's B-25 bomber, "Georgie's Gal."

Doc will also fly to Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Missouri for a total of seven out-of-state tour stops over the summer. You can find a full schedule of the tour by clicking here.

The restoration group Doc's Friends said the new hangar for Doc in Wichita is still under construction at Eisenhower National Airport, and should be finished by this November.
