Missing Towanda-area man found safe

78-year-old Alfred Paul Brown disappeared Thursday

TOWANDA, Kan. - A missing Towanda-area man who suffers from dementia has been found safe.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office says 78-year-old Alfred Paul Brown was found in Norfolk, Nebraska.  Brown had not been seen since Thursday afternoon when he reportedly left his house to buy milk in Towanda.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office is asking for you help locating a missing Towanda-area man.

78-year-old Alfred Paul Brown left is his home east of Towanda around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.  The Sheriff's Office says he left the house to get milk in Towanda, and was last seen driving a red 2003 Ford pickup with license plate 127 BMZ.

Brown is 5'7" tall, and weighs around 140 pounds.  He has gray hair and wears leg braces.  He was last seen wearing a straw hat, tan shirt and jeans.

Brown suffers from dementia.  Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Butler County Sheriff's Office at (316) 322-4254.
