South Wichita shooting tied to drug deal

WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita police are working to find three suspects after a shooting Monday night.

A 20-year-old man drove up to an officer around 10:15 p.m., saying he was shot in the 2800 block of South St. Paul. Police say the man was in the area for a drug deal, when three people got into his car. During the deal, the man was shot in the back, and the suspects took his drugs and handgun. It's not clear if that was the gun used in the shooting or not.

Police say the 20-year-old's injury was not serious.

The suspects are described only as two white men and a white woman, all in their 20's.
