SALINA, Kan. - The Salina post office was evacuated after a suspicious package was found Tuesday morning.
The package was found in the lobby of the post office around 9:30, and it was addressed to the police department.
A bomb squad from Riley County was called in to check the package, and Salina police said it turned out to be just an envelope with wires inside.
The building was evacuated and the parking lot was blocked off, but it was reopened later in the day. The post office will be open for normal hours Wednesday.
