INMAN, Kan - Police in Inman say a 14-year-old boy was taken into custody after a report of a threat near the high school.
According to a statement on the Inman Police Department's Facebook page, officers were called to the school Monday when someone overheard a student who was possibly making threats. The high school and the grade school were locked down while police investigated, and they later found the student at his home.
Police said there was no evidence of an actual plan and no word of a motive for any violence toward the school or the school district. There was no indication that the threat was targeting any specific person or school property.
The teenager is still in custody and a decision on any charges will be made by the McPherson County Attorney's office.
