WICHITA, Kan. - Thunderstorms knocked out power to hundreds of people in Wichita Sunday night and Monday morning.
As of 7 a.m. Monday, around 560 Westar customers in Sedgwick County still did not have electricity. That's down from the 640 reports less than an hour before.
Scattered power outages were reported across Westar Energy's service area, and utility crews are out trying to fix them. Some outages were expected to be resolved by 8:30 a.m., but others only show "Re-evaluating condition" and do not have an estimated restoration time.

The outages were also affecting traffic signals in Wichita. If you come across a stoplight that is not functioning properly, you should treat it as a four-way stop.
