United Way of the Plains Helping with Prescription Drug Affordability

Wichita - The United Way of the Plains has helped saved the community $1.9 million along with the Family Wize program.

Locally, 17,000 consumers using Family Wize have saved that amount on prescription drugs in Butler, Sumner, and Sedgwick Counties.

One in six adults are affected by mental health conditions and 56-percent of adults with mental illness aren't receiving treatment. Family Wize helps those without insurance to be able to afford vital medications.

It's free to sing up for Family Wize to get prescription drug savings on the United Way of the Plains website or call 211.
