Victim identified in fatal Wichita fire

A 72-year-old man died in the weekend fire

WICHITA, Kan - Wichita fire investigators have identified the victim of a fatal weekend fire on the city's north side.

72-year-old Charles Wilson was found in the doorway of an apartment in the 3100 block of North Woodland on February 9th.  

Lieutenant Jose Ocadiz said the fire started in a recliner, and the cause was determined to be smoking while on oxygen.   The fire caused about $3,000 in damage. 

Ocadiz said this was a detached garage that had been converted into an apartment behind a home.
