Wichita woman arrested after firing shotgun

WICHITA, Kan. - A 22-year-old woman is in jail after reportedly firing a gun during an argument. 

Wichita police were called to a home in the 1700 block of South Glenn, near Orient and Seneca, around 9:20 Monday night. A 26-year-old man reports being involved in an argument with his 22-year-old fiance, when she grabbed a shotgun and turned toward him. The man says he grabbed the barrel of the gun and pointed it up and away from him as the gun was fired. Nobody was hit. 

The fiance reportedly left the home after that, with the couple's 1-year-old daughter. The woman and child were found at Harry and Oliver. 

Officers arrested the mom for aggravated assault domestic violence, child endangerment, and criminal discharge of a firearm. 

The child was not harmed.
