Sheriff's office identifies shooting victim

41-year-old Lisa Marie Trimmell killed

SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. - The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office has identified a woman shot and killed near Andover Wednesday night as 41-year-old Lisa Marie Trimmell.

The shooting was reported around 10:30 p.m. at Trimmell's home in the 3200 block of N. 149th Street East.  Two children were inside of the home at the time of the shooting and were interviewed by investigators.

The sheriff's office says no further details will be released until the investigation is complete and the case presented to the district attorney's office.

A woman is dead after a shooting in east Sedgwick County.

Sheriff's deputies said a 41-year-old woman was shot in her home in the 3200 block of N 159th St E near Andover Wednesday night. 

Investigators told reporters two juveniles were home when the shooting was reported after 10:30 p.m., and deputies said they planned to talk to the juveniles to find out what happened.

The Sheriff's Office says they are investigating this death as suspicious, and that the woman's identity may be released Friday. 

Investigators are not looking for any suspects and no arrests have been made.
