Armed Robbers Steal $8,000 from Elderly Woman

Wichita - Wichita Police are seeking two suspects from an armed robbery that happened Tuesday in the 3700-block of North Woodlawn.

A black male and black female robbed an elderly woman of personal items, including her wedding ring, before forcing her to withdraw eight-thousand dollars from her bank account. The suspects then fled in a Silver Cadillac STS.

WPD says Wal-Mart surveillance footage shows the suspects approaching several people in the parking lot between 10:00 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.

The suspects are described as: 

A black female wearing dark khaki pants, a light colored shirt, and a tan hat. 

A black male wearing a tan hat, dark pants, and a gold necklace. 


The female suspect talked the 66-year-old woman into driving her from the Wal-Mart at 3030 N Rock Road to the Walgreens at 3770 N. Woodlawn. At that time, a Silver Cadillac STS driven by the male suspect followed the two women from the Wal-Mart parking lot to the Walgreens parking lot. The man then jumped into the victim's vehicle. 

That is where the woman pointed a gun at the victim and robbed her of her wedding ring and the cash in her handbag. The suspects then forced the woman to drive to a bank to withdraw $8,000. They then fled in the Cadillac.
