TINY AND I CAN’T BELIEVE IT. Kansas does NOT have a state dog.  How is this possible?  So, we started doing a little research.  We found an article that basically says the DOBERMAN is the most popular dog in Kansas.  Is this true, is it possible?  Then we decided to take it one step further. We asked you to nominate the breed you believe should represent Kansas as the official state dog.

There were a lot of great nominations.  The Cairn Terrier (the Toto dog from the Wizard of Oz), German Shepherd, Pitbull, Corgi, Boxer but the TOP DOG, the top nomination getter was the Labrador Retriever.

This is not going to happen overnight.  We found another article that tells of the 12 states that do have a state dog and how school kids learned a lot about government on the way to getting Alaska an official state dog.  So, Tiny and I are ready to pursue this and take it all the way to Topeka.
