An investigation is underway after a body was discovered in Sedgwick County Park.
Sedgwick County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the park around 8 a.m. Friday after someone was found unresponsive near the 13th Street side of the park. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The body has been transported to the Forensics Science Center where an autopsy will be performed. The sheriff’s office says it’s too soon to say what the person’s cause of death was or if any crime was committed.
The person’s age, identity, and gender were not released.
