As the news cycle starts to ramp up towards the holiday, local news outlets across America are covering the biggest issue facing Thanksgiving celebrators. The deep fried turkey. Now, I know a lot of people who have deep fried their turkeys, myself included, and have never had such an incident happen. But like they say, there’s one in every crowd, and we thank you for being there.

Here are some of my favorites:

This already has so much wrong with it before it even begins. First, there are flames just shooting out of the pot already. You can probably guess what happens next.

This one actually starts after things have gone sideways. At about the 1:30 mark he decides to do something about it. But, who would have though that throwing a, flammable, rug over the open flame wouldn’t work.

Clearly, the best place to deep fry a turkey is directly underneath a wooden deck.

This one has less of a towering inferno effect, but you have to respect the absolute ZERO care these guys have. Especially because the lawn looks bad already.

Barefoot AND a wooden fence? What could possibly go wrong?

Looks like this one got a TAD overdone. I mean, flies aren’t even landing on it.
