The group Horizontes reached its $15,000 fundraising goal to complete its mural on a grain elevator near 21st and Broadway.

The group’s organizer Armando Minjarez told KFDI News their goal is to help reconnect minority populations in north and northeast Wichita with the “largest mural in the world.”

Tuesday, Horizontes posted on social media they were $1,000 shy of their goal. The Horizontes Project Indiegogo campaign now shows they met that goal on Giving Tuesday.

Horizontes is the group behind several other new murals in north and northeast Wichita, including the murals celebrating minority women on the 13th St N & Santa Fe St. railroad bridge.
