Wichita police have identified the remains that were found in a wooded area in late November in the far southern part of the city.
A hunter found bones in a wooded area near 55th Street South and Clifton on November 30th. The remains were sent to the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center, where they were confirmed to be those of 56-year-old Donald Cook of Wichita.
Police said Cook was reported missing on May 15th, 2017 from a home in the 1500 block of North Pershing. Detectives are still investigating.
