A standoff in Arkansas City ended peacefully around 12:40 Friday afternoon. Officials say one person was taken into custody and that they will be getting a mental health evaluation. No charges are expected at his time, other than firing a gun in city limits.
The standoff started around 11:30, and residents were evacuated in the area of the Riverview Cemetery, in the northwest part of town.
So far, there is no word on what exactly led up to the standoff.
