The City of Wichita concluded their annual effort to get more people to purchase and install water conservation devices including dishwashers, washing machines, toilets, irrigation sensors, rain barrels, and rain sensors. Rebates of up to $100 were distributed for 951 devices and total a little over $100,000. Rebates were available to all customers with active accounts with the City of Wichita Public Works and Utilities. It is estimated these devices will save 23.5 million gallons of water each year.
