A winter storm will bring rain to south central Kansas on Friday, and that will change to snow Friday night into Saturday morning.

KWCH Storm Team 12 chief meteorologist Ross Janssen said the rain will begin around mid to late morning on Friday and it will continue into the afternoon.  The rain will change to snow after dark Friday night and light snow will be falling into Saturday morning.  South central Kansas is expected to see amounts ranging from a trace to two inches.  The heaviest amounts will fall along Interstate 70 in northern Kansas, where five to six inches of snow are possible.
