The company that owns the Towne West Square shopping center in Wichita plans to turn the property over to Wells Fargo. Washington Prime Group has filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission to transfer Towne West and the West Ridge Mall in Topeka to Wells Fargo. Washington Prime said it would save around $3.5 million with the transition.
The company said a number of vacancies at Towne West were a factor in the decision. The transition should be completed in July for Towne West and October for the Topeka mall.
