A federal grand jury has returned indictments against to Wichitans accused of making and passing counterfeit money.
35-year-old Camela A. Blanchard and 34-year-old Mark Mullins have been charged with one count of making counterfeit bills and two counts of passing counterfeit bills. The U.S. Attorney’s office in Wichita says the crimes are alleged to have occurred in December of 2017 and January of 2018 in Wichita.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Secret Service. If convicted, they both face a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 on each count against them.
