Today’s Star spangled Salute honors U.S. Army veteran Eric Donoho.  Eric in service and in life endured more than any one person should have to.  He survived multiple IED explosions, he and his wife lost their first child, he lost friends, battled PTSD, his marriage was failing and one day he found himself sitting on the floor of his kitchen ready to take his own life.   Then the phone rang, and he received news that one of his former platoon sergeants had taken his own life.  It was a moment that changed his life because being mad at his friend made him realize that he couldn’t do what he was about to do and that he needed to find a way to move forward.  He did through photography, becoming active in several veterans groups and non-profits and he focused on being an example for his family.  Thank you Eric for your service.
