The Kansas Highway Patrol said two men were killed Thursday evening when their bicycles were hit from behind by a vehicle on a roadway in Barber County.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 160, about a mile west of Medicine Lodge. The two bicyclists were riding east on the highway when a car struck them from behind.
The victims were identified as 64-year-old Robert Christensen, a Medicine Lodge attorney, and 56-year-old Thomas Foust of West Columbia, South Carolina. They were dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 44-year-old man from Mulvane, was not hurt.
