The Kansas Highway Patrol said two men were killed Thursday evening when their bicycles were hit from behind by a vehicle on a roadway in Barber County.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 160, about a mile west of Medicine Lodge.   The two bicyclists were riding east on the highway when a car struck them from behind.

The victims were identified as 64-year-old Robert Christensen, a Medicine Lodge attorney, and 56-year-old Thomas Foust of West Columbia, South Carolina.   They were dead at the scene.
