Wichita Named Finalist for All-America City Award

Wichita has been named as one of 20 finalists in the National Civic League’s All-American City Award competition. The All-American City Award recognizes communities that focus on civic engagement, collaboration, inclusiveness, and innovation to successfully address local issues. This year’s award focuses on creating healthy communities for everyone, and especially for those communities with poor health outcomes. Wichita’s work with the Health and Wellness Coalition and other initiatives such as League 42 and Open Streets ICT made them an excellent candidate for the award. A team of residents that represent a cross-section of the community will present the story of Wichita and its work to a jury of national experts on June 21 in Denver, CO.
