Damage has been reported after tornadoes struck eastern Nebraska and northeastern Texas on Friday.
Nebraska and Iowa appeared to be getting the worst of it so far. A huge twister was confirmed in Lancaster County, north of Lincoln, and social media images shows widespread damage. The National Weather Service says dangerous and potentially catastrophic twisters were confirmed.
Local hospitals asked all staff to come in immediately.
Videos on social media show a massive tornado touching down in Iowa, but there’s no word yet on potential damage. At least two tornadoes were reported in Texas, with one on the ground northeast of Waco.
