It’s been one of this week’s top trending buzzwords, Hantavirus. Typically, it is not transmissible from human to human, but it has been confirmed that this is a rare strain that IS and that has at least 12 countries monitoring people who were on the cruise ship before infection was confirmed. One of those countries is the United States, with Georgia, Texas, Virginia, Arizona, and California keeping an eye on passengers who, at this time, are showing no signs of being infected by the virus that has no known cure.

Climate change and lack of human response is ready to claim another victim. What is going on in Corpus Christi, Texas, has scientists shaking their heads and expressing concern. Corpus Christi is on track to become the first city in the United States to run out of water. A drought has hit the city hard over the last 5 years, and now water consumption will be cut by 25%, with a dramatic impact on schools, hospitals, commercial businesses, and homeowners.

And reason #693 why Australia can’t be real, and if it is, the people who live there are crazy. The other day, 4 race participants were bitten by ‘a freshie’, that’s a freshwater crocodile for those of you not down with down under lingo. 400 people had just plunged into Lake Argyle for the annual race. Oh, you know the race continued with race organizers saying, “Maybe it will motivate racers to swim faster.”

AND THAT’S TRENDING.
