Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Marine Corp veteran Sam Floyd. After his service, Sam said it took about 10-years and the urging of his ex-wife for him to seek treatment at the VA, where he was diagnosed with PTSD. Over time Sam has seen countless friends commit suicide. He said he was sick and tired of it so he decided to try and do something about it.
He bought an old church that is now, not only his home complete with bell tower, but he runs a small-batch coffee roasting operation out of there where 10 percent of every sale goes to veteran suicide prevention. Thank you Sam for your dedication and service.
